Shown on 1840 census for Barry Co., MO as having two children under age 5, one boy and one gir, and one boy between 10 and 15 yeas old. Also another male between 10 and 30 (besides himself) and a female between 20 and 30 (assume David's wife). Also, one free black between 36 and 55.

John Duncan emmigrated from Aberdeen, Scotland to Pensylvania around 1740. Then down to Newberry-Laurens area of South Carolina at to an area later known as Duncan's Creek approx. 1752.

At the Divorce Court last Thursday, Thomas Standen Macadam, of Merrylands, sought a divorce from Vera Grace Standen (formerly Pocklington) on grounds of desertion by reason of the respondent's non-complaince with an order for restitution of conjugal rights.
