Individual Note:
Sir-William Tindal was knighted at the Coronation of Arthur, Prince of Wales (who died 1502), son of Henry VII. He was, by inquest, found cousin and co-heir of Thomas, Lord Scales, and shared the estate with John Vere, Earl of Oxford (Camden Brit. page 293); Sir William was found next in blood by the Felbrigs, and the Earl of Oxford by the Howards.
Sir William was offered the Crown of Bohemia (in right the basis of Margaret's and Alana's inheritance) being the male heir, but declined, no reason given.

Note for: Sir-John Tindal, 1486 - 1 OCT 1539

Individual Note:
Sir-John was Knight of the Bath at the Coronation of Queen Anne Boleyn (or Bullen).
It is said he was sent for by the Bohemians to be their King, but he refused to go.
The Baron of Slavetta, a Bohemian, told his grandson, Dr. Humphrey Tindal (born 1585), Master of Queens' College, that of a right a Tindal should be their King; and that when the Archbishop of Cologne forsook the Pope, in hopes, by four electors, to choose a King of the Romans against the House, Sir-John Tindal was sent for to set up his title; but the Archbishop, being thrust out of Cologne, the design miscarried.
This is verified by Belirias, the Italian, who, in a book printed in 1630, page 276, says 'Sir John Tindal, an Englishman, was sent for by the Bohemians, with presents by their Ambassadors, but he 'Refused to go'. This story is well known at Cambridge, particularly at Queens.
