James moved with his mother to Boston in 1795.

James inherited his father's property and built Walmsgate Hall and lived t here until his death in 1854.
Under the will of his Uncle Martin Yorke of Tunbridge Wells who died in 17 98, James and his sister Marianne each inherited a comfortable little fort une. He sold off the Whiting property in Boston and district and concentra ted on the family property in the Walmsgate area. In 1849-50 James was Hi gh Sheriff of Lincolnshire and keeper of the County Gaol. On his death h is property was inherited by his sister's son Thomas Yorke Dallas.

T.Y.Dallas served in the Eleventh Hassars, reaching the rank of Capt. a nd saw service in the Crimea. On his Uncle's death he left the army and se ttled at Walmsgate adopting the final surname of Yorke. He lived at Walmsg ate until his death in 1924.

Hagnaby was bought by the Coltman family for £5,500 in 1713 From the Ea rl of Oxford. It was not until 1789, however, that the family lived ther e. The builder of the house was Thomas Coltman [1749-1826] who added to t he estate, became a magistrate, and kept a pack of hounds at Sausthorp e. He was succeeded by his brother.

Will of Thomas dated 10.10.1821. Real estate was bequeathed in trust for T homas Coltman the yonger (nephew).
