Haliburton was gazetted to the Royal Scots Midlothian Militia in October 1 893. Six years later as a lieutenant in the Tenth Hussars he was kill ed on active service, and in 1901 the chapel of St. Francis was built at W almsgate in commemoration.

John Thomas Pocklington known all of his life as William or Wm Thos (Wm after his Uncle Wm).
He goes to Australia in 1881 and selects a large block in NSW and names it Tranmore after the Burn farm he worked on from say 14 years of age until he emigrated as a 23 year old in 1881.
Tranmere is still a large working farm to this day (2009) and still in the Pocklington family.
John T. is sometimes listed as John Joshua. - But, John Joshua is in fact John Joseph and died in Australia.
